In this How-To tutorial, I am going to demonstrate how to create a desktop shortcut to lock your windows 10 PC.

Start by right-clicking on an empty area on your desktop and a menu will appear. Hover your mouse cursor over the “New” option and then left-click on “shortcut” from the submenu.
After clicking the shortcut option, the “Create Shortcut “ window will open. Copy or type the following command in the “Type The Location of The Item” text box, then click the “Next” button.
On the next window that opens after clicking Next, give your new shortcut a name. Type in a name that compliments it functions so that you will know what it does. Type the name in the “Type A Name For This Shortcut” box then click “finish.“
The shortcut will now appear on your desktop as seen below.
You can now lock your windows 10 PC using the shortcut you just created by double-clicking it.
