As we live in an increasingly connected world where we communicate instantly between people, data, and machines over open, global networks, cybercrime has become a daily occurrence.
Because of the hyper-connected nature of our world, in which we speak instantly with one another, access data instantly, and use machines instantly over global networks, cybercrime has become an inescapable part of our lives.
People have become more and more reliant on online spaces as a means of living, studying, and studying, as well as for leisure and entertainment. While learning and working from home, however, we are more vulnerable to cybercrime than before without the required cybersecurity infrastructure and knowledge.
In the meantime, organizations and governments must find better ways to protect us, but understanding cybercriminals’ operations and staying safe online are the best ways to slow them down.
We are offering a non-technical Cybercrime and You: Staying Safe in a Hyper-Connected World course that will help you learn more about the types of cybercrimes to which you, your loved ones, and your colleagues may be vulnerable. Learn how to guard your online privacy and safety through some simple cyber-hygiene tips and strategies. There will be a discussion about fake news and misinformation, and how we can reduce their distribution by reducing their circulation.
The Cybercrime and You: Staying Safe in a Hyper-Connected World course will also introduce you to some of the key actors and issues with law enforcement and explain why catching the bad guys can be so challenging.
When you are aware of the cybercrime landscape and the techniques that cybercriminals use to trap us, you will be better able to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your organization from cybercrime and cybersecurity breaches.
